Principal Security Engineer

Job Summary

Driving security excellence, the full-time Principal Security Engineer will lead software security engineering initiatives, influencing product architecture and implementing innovative solutions to complex security challenges in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver innovative software solutions to address security risks and promote a "Secure by Design" culture
• Define and guide the multi-year technical strategy for software security, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices
• Lead the development and implementation of high-leverage security solutions across various business units to enhance data protection

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on security practices in a large technology environment
• Proven technical leadership and decision-making capabilities at a Principal or equivalent level
• Mastery of system design and architecture, with experience in addressing complex security challenges
• Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and countermeasures, particularly in high-volume transaction environments
• Ability to write production-quality code/script for security automation and tooling
