Principal Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Principal Security Engineer focused on Software Security Engineering, the successful candidate will drive innovative software solutions to complex security challenges, influence architectural decisions, and foster a "Secure by Design" culture across engineering and information security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver innovative software solutions to address top security risks and enhance overall security posture
• Define and guide the multi-year technical strategy for software security, ensuring alignment with best practices
• Lead the development and implementation of high-leverage security solutions across various business units

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development and critical services, with at least 5 years focused on security practices
• Proven track record of technical leadership at a Principal or equivalent level
• Mastery of system design and architecture with experience in high-volume transaction processing environments
• Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities, risks, and countermeasures
• Ability to write production-quality code/script for security automation and tooling
