Job Summary
Leading complex advisory and technical assistance engagements, the full-time remote Principal SNAP Policy Advisor will leverage deep expertise in federal SNAP policy and operations to advise clients, manage multidisciplinary teams, and drive business development in the food assistance sector.
Key responsibilities
- Direct multidisciplinary teams on complex projects related to SNAP and SNAP E&T, providing implementation support and technical assistance
- Advise federal and state clients on policy and operational challenges, developing innovative solutions to improve program performance
- Shape and execute business development strategies, cultivating client relationships and leading proposal development for new opportunities
Required qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in public policy, economics, public administration, nutrition, or a related discipline
- At least 15 years of experience in food and nutrition policy, with a minimum of 10 years in technical assistance or policy support roles
- Demonstrated success in business development, including leading federal and state proposals and cultivating client relationships
- Deep expertise in SNAP policy and operations, with established professional relationships across relevant fields
- Experience leading complex technical assistance or policy advisory engagements and managing multidisciplinary teams
