Principal Software Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Architect to define and govern the software architecture vision across its digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Define multiyear architecture strategy for software systems, including cloud and application infrastructure
• Lead cross-functional architecture forums and ensure consistent architectural patterns across teams
• Provide architectural oversight throughout the software development lifecycle and mentor engineering leads

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with expertise in large-scale distributed systems
• Proven experience architecting regulated or high reliability systems, preferably in medical or health tech domains
• Mastery of architectural domains such as microservices, data pipelines, and cloud native technologies
• Ability to influence executive teams as a senior level individual contributor without direct authority
