Principal Software Architect

Job Summary

Partnering with executive leadership, the full-time remote Principal Software Architect will serve as the main technical authority for the Retail Vertical, defining the architectural roadmap, optimizing cloud spend, and leading the implementation of AI-driven engineering tools to enhance development efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary decision-maker for architectural choices across the Retail Vertical, ensuring alignment with business strategy
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of AI-assisted development tools to modernize engineering workflows and automate quality assurance
• Serve as the technical representative for key enterprise clients, articulating security and scalability capabilities to drive high-value deals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a lead role managing complex, multi-product portfolios
• Proven track record of making high-stakes technical decisions across multiple product lines
• Experience interacting with external clients or executive stakeholders, able to convey technical value in business terms
• Deep expertise in Microsoft .NET, React, JavaScript, and microservices architectures
