Job Summary

Bringing extensive software architecture expertise, the remote Principal Software Architect will apply proven architectural principles to design work, lead architecture sessions, and mentor teams while ensuring high-quality solutions that integrate AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Apply software architecture principles to design work, including microservices and event-driven patterns
• Lead architecture design sessions and produce high-quality architecture artifacts, ensuring solutions meet non-functional requirements
• Define architecture governance practices and mentor architects and engineers on design fundamentals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with 12+ years of software architecture experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience
• Demonstrated integration of AI tools into architecture and engineering work
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and API design, including REST, gRPC, and GraphQL
• Experience with non-functional requirements design, including performance and security architecture
• Track record of delivered production systems, showcasing built and operated architectures
