Principal Software Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Developer, Backend.

Key Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction for major backend systems, ensuring a balance between product velocity and reliability
• Lead cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans and measurable outcomes
• Design and operate applied AI systems in production, including monitoring for performance and quality metrics

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building and operating production backend systems in consumer and/or B2B SaaS environments
• Deep expertise in AWS and cloud-native architectures, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern backend frameworks
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled features and monitoring systems for quality and performance
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures and lead complex technical decisions
