Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Developer I to join their Performance Engineering area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build tooling and automated processes for Elasticsearch performance benchmarking at scale
• Maintain the open-source Python-based benchmarking tool, Rally, and provide best practice guidance
• Develop reporting for benchmarking results and assist in resolving performance escalations

Required Qualifications

• Expert level software development experience with Python and Linux shell
• Familiarity with Linux system-level performance measurement and associated tooling
• Prior experience in troubleshooting performance issues in complex distributed architectures
• Experience with cloud orchestration using Kubernetes
• Prior experience with CI/CD pipelines and automating process workflows
