Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap and author system designs for card issuing and payment processing products
• Spend significant time in the codebase, writing, reviewing, and optimizing code
• Identify and drive technical initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of core processing engines

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Experience developing and scaling microservices using modern cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Solid understanding of security engineering best practices
• Experience with high volume / low latency data infrastructures
• Familiarity with technologies such as Java, Springboot, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Kafka, JPOS, and AWS services
