Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to enhance and optimize Istio for enterprise Kubernetes platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers and the Istio community on developing features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Mentor junior team members and work with cross-functional teams
• Engage with support and documentation teams to improve customer experience and resources

Required Qualifications

• Highly experienced in software development
• 3+ years of experience programming with Go and working with Kubernetes
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols
• Experience contributing to an open source project/community is a plus
