Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer I or II to join the Elasticsearch - Storage Engine team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-organizational initiatives to develop an industry-leading Timeseries solution
• Contribute to Elasticsearch by building new features and resolving bugs, enhancing code understandability
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team on logs and metrics capabilities of Elasticsearch

Required Qualifications

• Experience implementing techniques for efficient indexing, storage, and querying of Timeseries data
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to manage projects from design to execution
• Proficient in core Java and familiar with data structures and concurrency constructs
• Experience with various data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Ability to develop collaboratively and provide constructive feedback on code and approaches
