Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Physical AI Tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance data services for streaming and querying sensor data
• Own and evolve the serialization and format layer for performance and interoperability
• Collaborate with AI and Robotics teams to build platform APIs and tooling that enhance their workflows

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering focused on distributed backend systems
• Deep proficiency in Go, Python, or Java across the full backend stack
• Experience building high-performance low-latency data systems and understanding of distributed systems
• Track record of designing and implementing internal platform APIs used across engineering organizations
