Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the enterprise technical and architectural direction for compliant open source and AI/ML usage
• Review open software, AI models, and training data to ensure adherence to license requirements and company policy
• Drive delivery of the Open License Compliance and Model/Data Provenance roadmap, coordinating cross-team execution

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps
• 3+ years influencing enterprise scale architecture and governance
• 2+ years of experience with SBOM generation and governance tooling
• 2+ years experience with open source licensing and compliance
• Experience designing compliance systems embedded into CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms
