Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer, Tech Lead - Databricks Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the Databricks environment on AWS, including configuration and access controls
• Design and evolve the Databricks architecture, establishing standards for various workloads
• Lead performance tuning, incident response, and user enablement for Analysts and ML Engineers

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with 2 years in a lead or architecture capacity
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks platform components such as Delta Lake and Spark
• Experience designing Lakehouse architectures and large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform
• Strong understanding of data governance and cloud security best practices
