Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer II - Search Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and enhancements for Elasticsearch, focusing on search capabilities
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team to improve search functionality and resolve bugs
• Write modern Java code and contribute to the development of a scalable search tier for the Serverless platform

Required Qualifications

• Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with data structures and concurrency constructs
• Ability to autonomously manage projects from design to implementation
• Experience with various data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Comfortable with collaborative development and providing feedback on code
• Experience with open source projects and continuous integration practices
