Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend functionality for scalable services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement core backend service features
• Provide test coverage for unit, integration, and performance for feature ownership areas
• Document design choices and operational knowledge for successful service deployment

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with scalable distributed systems
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems concepts, including multi-threading and concurrency
• Experience writing concurrent code in languages like Go or Java at an advanced level
• Experience with Open Source Systems
• Experience building and running services on AWS; bonus for Azure and GCP experience
