Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to define technical strategy and architecture for critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term technical strategy and architectural direction for a workstream
• Lead the design of complex, large-scale distributed systems ensuring performance and reliability
• Mentor engineers and influence technical decision-making across teams

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience at a Staff or Senior Staff level
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Proven experience in leading architecture and defining long-term technical strategy
• Deep expertise in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with modern software development practices and tools
