Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work remotely in the U.S. or Canada, this full-time role will focus on developing innovative products with an agentic-first approach, leading AI development initiatives, and contributing as a senior technical leader while also taking on light people management responsibilities as needed.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop key products with a strong emphasis on user empathy, engineering design, and cross-functional collaboration
• Execute innovative 0-to-1 product efforts, embracing ambiguity to drive progress
• Lead the AI-native development transformation and support the engineering culture and processes

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in full-stack development technologies including TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated experience in AI-native development and senior technical leadership
• Interest or experience in people management and mentoring
• Experience in EdTech or building products for learners and families is preferred
