Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for leading enterprise-wide architectural initiatives, defining long-term technology strategy, and delivering scalable distributed systems across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and system design principles to guide engineering work across the organization
• Lead the design and implementation of fault-tolerant distributed systems that operate at a global scale
• Mentor senior engineers and drive enterprise modernization initiatives, including microservices transformation and platform consolidation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven expertise in designing distributed, high-scale systems in production
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or similar backend languages
• Strong expertise in reliability engineering and distributed architectures
