Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a senior technical leader, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will enhance architecture, scalability, and engineering quality across systems while mentoring teams and establishing engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Improve architecture and define long-term architectural strategy across backend services and platform infrastructure
• Establish engineering standards to enhance consistency, maintainability, and operational readiness
• Mentor Senior and Staff engineers through architecture reviews and technical coaching

Required qualifications

• Experience as a Principal Engineer, Architect, or senior Staff+ engineer
• Deep experience designing and operating distributed systems in production
• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in Go or a similar language
• Proven ability to mentor and develop senior engineers
• Practical experience using agentic or AI-assisted development tools in engineering workflows
