Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading technical initiatives in a full-time remote capacity, the Principal Software Engineer will automate network engineering efforts, enhance global platform infrastructure, and collaborate on operational excellence within the Platform Engineering department.

Key responsibilities

• Automate network engineering processes to ensure the reliability of the global Elastic infrastructure
• Develop and maintain software, codebases, tooling, and automations to support scaling demands
• Collaborate with teams to address complex customer concerns and prevent repeated incidents

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on delivering Cloud network solutions
• Proficiency in public cloud environments, Go, and managed Kubernetes services
• Experience in developing solutions with a customer-first approach to operational problems
• Demonstrated ability to work in distributed teams and foster inclusive communication
• Experience in designing and building SaaS products in a public cloud environment is a plus
