Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer, the full-time remote position will lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives, define long-term technology strategies, and deliver scalable distributed systems while mentoring senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and system design principles across multiple business units
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Drive enterprise modernization initiatives, including microservices transformation and legacy decommissioning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven expertise designing distributed, high-scale systems in production
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or similar backend languages
• Strong expertise in reliability engineering and distributed architectures
