Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative technology solutions, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will design, modify, and implement applications while collaborating in an Agile environment, with the flexibility to telecommute from any U.S. location.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement architecturally sound components and applications to meet strategic business goals
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices
• Mentor team members and evaluate technical feasibility and project risks while experimenting with new technologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 7 years of progressive experience in software engineering or a related position
• Experience with Mainframe modernization initiatives and core banking solutions for financial institutions
• Proficiency in Microservices Architecture and cloud platforms, including AWS and ROSA
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, container technologies, and advanced analytics monitoring tools
