Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Database Infrastructure team, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will design and build core infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and scalability of database solutions while serving as a subject matter expert on MySQL.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable database solutions and self-service infrastructure
• Write technical documentation and maintain tooling for database systems
• Participate in on-call rotations and develop disaster recovery plans

Required qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline, with proficiency in multiple programming languages
• 3+ years of experience using monitoring tools to diagnose performance or availability issues
• Experience in maintaining and delivering production software
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed remote environment
• Demonstrated expertise in MySQL and database administration
