Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives, define long-term technology strategies, and deliver scalable distributed systems in a 100% remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and system design principles for engineering work across multiple business units
• Lead the design and implementation of fault-tolerant distributed systems operating at global scale
• Drive enterprise modernization initiatives, including microservices transformation and legacy decommissioning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven expertise in designing distributed, high-scale systems in production
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or similar backend languages
• Strong expertise in reliability engineering and distributed architectures
