Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a full-time remote position focused on designing and implementing custom network automation platforms and tooling to support large-scale network infrastructure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement network automation platforms and orchestration systems for large-scale operations
• Develop custom tooling, APIs, and automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management
• Contribute to network platform architectures and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Required qualifications

• Proven experience operating networks at large scale, including multi-datacenter and cloud environments
• Deep networking expertise with routing protocols and network design principles
• Strong software engineering background, particularly in Python, with experience in Go or Rust preferred
• Experience with firewall automation and security compliance workflows
• Deep experience with Terraform and Ansible for network automation
