Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Spectra Platform team, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will manage all stages of the software development lifecycle, focusing on building and operating cloud-native applications in a remote environment using technologies such as Go, Scala, and Kubernetes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop software applications, ensuring adherence to standard practices and procedures
• Oversee coding, testing, CI/CD, and operational support for cloud-native systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex features and mentor junior engineers

Required qualifications

• BS or MS degree in computer science or related fields
• 6 to 10 years of software development and/or DevOps experience
• Proficiency in Go, Scala, Java, and Bash/Shell programming
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native application development
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs
