Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a hands-on technical leader, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will drive the transformation of a high-throughput, service-oriented platform, focusing on backend systems and product surfaces while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define the evolution of services to support sub-second latency and massive concurrency
• Integrate LLM-based orchestration into the development workflow to enhance organizational velocity
• Lead the RFC process by leveraging data to align stakeholders across engineering and product boundaries

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time at the Staff or Principal level
• Deep expertise in designing high-concurrency distributed systems and optimizing for sub-second latency
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and a language-agnostic approach to problem-solving
• Experience leveraging AI to enhance engineering workflows and output
