Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the Security Operations Center (SOC) experience, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will lead technical architecture, develop scalable systems, and improve operational workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical leader, representing the team's perspective in cross-functional discussions and driving alignment on key decisions
• Balance technical rigor with pragmatism, making sound trade-off decisions across requirements, reliability, performance, and cost
• Shape the team's technical architecture and influence long-term technical strategy, ensuring the foundation for future development

Required qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience developing complex software products
• 8+ years of programming experience in Ruby on Rails
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments
• Proven ability to build and maintain large, highly parallel systems designed for concurrency and throughput
