Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of Athena, the remote Principal Software Engineer will set the technical direction for the clearing house, manage the transition to a production-grade product stack, and lead system design for processing vulnerability reports from enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set architectural direction for data validation pipelines and customer entitlement systems
• Drive the transition from rapid prototyping to a sustainable, production-grade product stack
• Lead the design of systems that process unstructured vulnerability reports and deduplicate findings

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in setting technical direction for complex, production-facing distributed systems
• Deep fluency in Go, with experience in GCP and Terraform
• Experience transitioning teams from fast-moving prototypes to maintainable systems
• Background in handling multiple customer types with different entitlements and access levels
• Prior experience in security-adjacent domains such as supply chain or vulnerability management
