Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the development of innovative software products, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will oversee cross-functional teams, manage the software development lifecycle, and empower grocers through digital media solutions in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop software solutions for digital screens and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) while initially operating as a single contributor
• Collaborate with third-party hardware vendors to integrate their devices into the centralized platform
• Support in-store pilots by troubleshooting production issues and deploying hotfixes to ensure customer success

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience as a Lead, Principal, or Founding Engineer in a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong proficiency in backend development (C#/.NET, Java, or Go) and frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
• Experience with Cloud Architecture (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable)
