Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a small team while contributing code, the full-time hybrid Principal Software Engineer will guide the Embedded Software Development team in expanding the platform through partner integrations, including embedded financial products and third-party offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor development engineers while serving as the internal technical expert on partner integration architecture
• Drive the evaluation, integration, and ongoing support for embedded products to ensure reliability and a seamless customer experience
• Build and maintain secure APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns for partner functionality

Required qualifications

• Tenured experience in a technical leadership or player/coach role at a SaaS startup
• Strong hands-on experience building API-based, real-time integrations for SaaS products
• Deep knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and monitoring
• Proficiency in C# and Microsoft SQL
• Experience with embedded financial products or similar third-party offerings is a strong plus
