Job Summary

To drive the evolution of the Advanced Analytics Platform, the remote Principal Software Engineer will define technical strategies, design and maintain scalable systems, and mentor engineers while focusing on data-driven solutions for Toast's analytics products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient and scalable data systems
• Develop technical strategies to address complex business challenges through data-driven decision-making

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in data platforms or distributed systems
• Strong background in data lakehouse technologies and streaming infrastructure
