Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will architect, build, and maintain a large consumer-facing healthcare application while contributing to coding efforts and mentoring team members in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and documentation of a consumer-facing application, ensuring high quality and usability
• Collaborate with product owners and designers to translate user needs into technical requirements and architecture
• Guide Agile processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives, while maintaining relationships with other teams for architectural consistency

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar, or equivalent professional experience or certification
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years in a team lead role utilizing Agile practices
• Experience developing Cloud Native applications on AWS or with Go/Golang, or React + TypeScript
• Proficiency with modern version control systems like Git
