Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a small team of developers, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will contribute code and provide technical mentorship while driving the development of a new product line in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a development team, acting as a player/coach to mentor and contribute technically
• Serve as the internal technical expert on Skimmer's newest systems and drive the replatforming of existing features
• Utilize AI tools and best practices to enhance team productivity and ensure a seamless customer experience

Required qualifications

• Experience in a technical leadership or player/coach role within a SaaS startup
• Proven expertise in replatforming and improving products with a customer-first mindset
• Proficiency in leveraging and implementing AI tools for development productivity
• Expertise in NodeJS and proficiency with PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL
• High emotional intelligence and a track record of leading successful cross-functional projects
