Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

Collaborating within a small team, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain APIs and technical infrastructure for a subscription platform while contributing to the software development lifecycle and enhancing customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain APIs and technical infrastructure for the subscription platform
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning to maintenance
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality features in an agile environment

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building applications in a Python framework (Django, Flask, etc.)
• 10+ years of experience building API systems, including REST and OAuth2
• Understanding and professional experience with a JavaScript frontend framework (React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience using a relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and SQL
• Experience with version control systems (git, svn, etc.)
