Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the evolution of technology at a growing organization, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will lead the design and development of scalable enterprise-grade systems, mentor engineers, and drive modernization efforts across financial systems.
Key responsibilities
- Own architecture and technical direction for key finance initiatives, ensuring alignment on design and execution across multiple teams
- Design scalable systems for high-volume financial transactions while partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions
- Drive engineering excellence and innovation, including the application of AI to enhance productivity and operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 12-15+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise systems, particularly in the FinTech domain
- Expert-level proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL, and Python, with strong experience in cloud-based development, especially Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
