Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
To drive the development of AI-enabled platform infrastructure, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will set technical direction, design comprehensive systems, and lead project delivery while mentoring engineers and influencing coding-agent architecture across teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and contribute expertise on coding-agent infrastructure across R&D teams
- Deliver complete system designs and lead autonomous project delivery in collaboration with R&D peers
- Anticipate technical challenges and drive milestones for AI-native developer tooling over a 1-3 year horizon
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with recent hands-on work in coding-agent-runtime infrastructure
- Proven track record of making technical decisions and architecture that influence multiple teams and organizations
- Deep experience with build systems, CI/CD, and internal developer platforms in production at scale
- Ability to operate independently and set direction within a high-trust team environment
- Strong understanding of environment safety as applied to autonomous coding agents
