Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving technical solutions as a remote full-time Principal Software Engineer, the successful candidate will write expert-level code in multiple languages, lead development initiatives, and serve as a subject matter expert while mentoring less experienced engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for the overall code change and review process to ensure high quality and process optimization
- Apply and analyze metrics across teams to identify opportunities for SDLC process improvement and implement solutions
- Design, review, and approve system architecture, ensuring alignment across domains and driving strategic direction
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree with a minimum of 9 years or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of systems analysis/application development experience
- Proven experience as a technical lead for large-scale modernization or platform transformation initiatives
- Expert proficiency in at least one relevant programming language and advanced proficiency in another
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex enterprise-scale software solutions
- Deep understanding of software engineering practices related to resiliency, security, and operational readiness
