Job Summary
Leading the development of innovative software solutions for document processing, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will design scalable systems, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance healthcare workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the document processing pipeline, including designing state machines and writing modular Go services
- Own the challenges of processing real-world PDFs at scale, ensuring reliability and performance across diverse document types
- Build operational metrics and observability for the document pipeline and contribute to overall platform performance
Required Qualifications
- Documented professional software engineering experience with a focus on shipping and operating production systems
- Strong experience in Go for backend/service work and hands-on document processing at scale
- Experience in designing and implementing metrics and observability for production systems
- Familiarity with AWS serverless patterns, including Lambda and Step Functions
- Solid database fundamentals, including schema design and query optimization
