Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the development of scalable, elastic distributed systems, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will architect components, optimize code for high throughput, and ensure operational readiness while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize standard software development practices for scoping, architecture, and testing of features
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery
- Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues while mentoring peers and supporting operational excellence
Required qualifications
- 6 to 10+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with C/C++
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
- Hands-on experience with multi-threaded embedded Linux applications and infrastructure
- Familiarity with network or storage stacks and protocols, including TCP/IP and NVMe
- Experience with Linux Kernel/Driver programming and CI/CD environments
