Principal Software Engineer II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer II to join their Performance Engineering area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build tooling and automated processes for Elasticsearch performance benchmarking at scale
• Define methodologies and guidelines for performance benchmarking to assist development teams and solution architects
• Mentor team members and lead cross-functional team efforts

Required Qualifications

• Expert level software development experience with Python and Linux shell
• Familiarity with Linux system-level performance measurement and associated tooling
• Prior experience in troubleshooting performance issues in complex distributed architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automating process workflows
• Knowledge of cloud architectures and service models across multiple cloud providers
