Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary
Driving quality standards across software delivery, the full-time Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer will set test and automation strategies, own high-risk specifications, and mentor team members while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Setting test and automation strategy in collaboration with the Quality Manager
- Owning the quality for the most complex specifications from refinement through release
- Leading escaped-defect analysis and establishing testing patterns to improve overall quality
Required qualifications
- BS/BA in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 3 years at a principal or lead level
- Mastery of modern web automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Advanced SQL proficiency, including debugging complex relational data pipelines
- Practical experience in an Agile environment, comfortable with team-level Scrum methodologies
