Principal Software Security Architect

Job Summary

Owning the security architecture for BeyondTrust's product suite, the full-time remote Principal Software Security Architect will lead end-to-end security design, threat modeling, and the integration of AI-driven workflows into the security engineering process.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security architecture for assigned product lines, defining secure-by-default patterns and target-state architecture
• Lead threat modeling, attack surface analysis, and secure design reviews, driving architectural decisions to minimize exposure
• Utilize LLM platforms to enhance threat analysis, architecture review, and build self-service security capabilities for engineering teams

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Engineering, Security Architecture, Product Security, or Application Security
• Deep experience with threat modeling, attack surface analysis, and secure design reviews at scale
• Strong hands-on engineering background with the ability to contribute to codebases and design systems
• Understanding of cloud-native systems, APIs, endpoint agents, and identity/security platforms
• Experience using LLM platforms (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) in engineering or security workflows
