Principal Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a trusted quality engineering advisor for strategic customer implementations, the full-time Principal Software Test Engineer will partner with higher education institutions to define testing strategies, establish quality governance, and guide successful SaaS transformations in a highly customer-facing role.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customer stakeholders to develop comprehensive test strategies aligned with business objectives and deployment timelines
• Define testing approaches and establish quality gates, release readiness criteria, and defect management processes for complex implementation programs
• Provide technical leadership for automation frameworks and guide project teams in implementing automation within CI/CD pipelines

Required qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in software quality engineering, testing, or quality consulting, particularly with enterprise implementations
• Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Postman, along with experience in enterprise test management platforms
• Strong understanding of various testing methodologies including functional, integration, and performance testing
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Git-based development practices
• Consulting or Professional Services experience with enterprise SaaS implementations is strongly preferred
