Principal Solutions Architect

Job Summary

To support a growing Professional Services organization, the full-time Principal Solutions Architect will build and scale service offerings, drive strategic customer outcomes, and enable cross-functional success while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and codify repeatable reference architecture patterns for Docker's core use cases to ensure consistent engagement across customers and partners
• Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, leading technical discovery and architecture engagements for modern containerization and AI workflows
• Drive alignment and decision-making across multiple stakeholders, translating field insights into actionable product and services strategies

Required qualifications

• 7+ years as a Professional Services Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar role at a SaaS/infrastructure company or consulting firm
• Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying self-hosted and air-gapped deployment architectures
• Enterprise integration experience across Identity Providers and federated identity protocols
• Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its application to agentic AI toolchains
• Deep understanding of container and software supply chain security practices
