Principal Systems Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Founding Lead Engineer / Principal Systems Architect to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for translating complex system visions into production-grade software and data architecture for an evidence-governed AI/data platform focused on healthcare integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the concept architect to convert advanced system ideas into technical specifications, service maps, and deployment plans
• Build production-grade Python services, APIs, and data pipelines while establishing coding standards and documentation practices
• Design and implement relational schemas, graph models, and canonical identity systems to support high-consequence operations

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent exceptional experience
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience building production backend services and APIs
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience, preferably with PostgreSQL
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and secure cloud or private infrastructure deployment
• Ability to design modular systems from ambiguous early-stage architecture and translate conceptual guidance into software architecture
