Principal Systems Architect

Job Summary

Defining and owning the end-to-end architecture for connected devices, the full-time Principal Systems Architect will work remotely to establish scalable, secure solutions across hardware, firmware, and cloud services while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the overall system architecture for hardware, firmware, host software, and cloud platforms
• Lead the design of a multi-tenant device management platform that enables remote updates and analytics
• Conduct architecture reviews and serve as the final technical decision-maker across projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, IoT, or embedded platforms
• Proven experience designing or building IoT/device-to-cloud platforms
• Deep expertise in embedded firmware architecture and strong hardware knowledge including USB-C and Thunderbolt
• Experience managing ODMs and external development partners
