Principal Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Serving as the senior technical leader for VMware Cloud Foundation, the full-time remote Principal Systems Engineer will manage architecture, engineering, automation, and lifecycle management of the enterprise private cloud platform while providing strategic direction for operational excellence and platform modernization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement VCF strategy and architecture
- Lead platform engineering and automation initiatives
- Ensure operational excellence and reliability across the cloud infrastructure
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role, or High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years leading enterprise virtualization or private cloud initiatives
- Expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, software-defined data centers, and infrastructure automation
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and operational governance
- Experience with capacity planning and performance engineering
