Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Principal Technical Standards Engineer will collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance industry technical standards, focusing on RISC-V software and representing the company in standardization forums.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the development and promotion of semiconductor standards in collaboration with external partners
- Analyze the semiconductor industry landscape to identify existing and emerging standards for the company to pursue
- Coordinate with legal teams to file patents protecting novel intellectual property related to inventions
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of software engineering, firmware, open-source development, or related experience
- 7+ years of experience working with standards bodies
- Strong networking and influencing skills
- Experience in system software development, including firmware, kernel, or compilers
